Sending email with Táve + Google's Gmail takes keeping track of your conversations with clients to a whole new level.

When you add the Gmail integration, you're authorizing Táve to use your Gmail account. This integration works with both @gmail.com accounts as well as Google Workspace (G Suite).

To set up Gmail integration, simply go to the Mail Settings page and select New Google Integration:

You'll be asked to authorize Táve to manage your Gmail emails.

You can add additional integrations for each Google user account you'd like to import messages from or send new email through.

Once you authorize Táve to access your account, you will see all of the email addresses your Google account is authorized to 'Send mail as' (from the Settings › Accounts tab in Gmail).

Please see Google's article here if you need to update your From Addresses: Send emails from a different address or alias.

You can edit a From Address to update the Name and who this email address is available to - All Users, Admins Only or a specific Táve user in your account.

Note: These settings do not apply to the automation editor. Automation emails will be sent out by the Brand Sender email for that Brand. You can find out more here on choosing your Default From Addresses.

In Gmail, this will create a new label called 'Import to Táve' for each of your added email accounts.  You can use this label to get any messages into Táve quickly.  More about that in the next article...

Important Note:

After integrating with Gmail as your primary email platform, messages will be sent through Gmail. You'll want to want to make sure to review your SPF record on your DNS to be sure that Google is an authorized sender. You can read more on that here: Add your SPF record at your domain provider.
