Gmail Integration for Free?

Did you know you don't need to set up G Suite to take advantage of Táve's Gmail integration? You can do it by creating a free Gmail account that acts as an 'in-between' your email hosted elsewhere and Táve's Gmail integration. The free Gmail account you create will both check your normal email account for new emails as well as authorize Gmail to send on your behalf (using your normal email address). Using this 'in-between' Gmail account allows you to take advantage of the features that come with the Gmail Táve Integration, without having to move your email hosting to the paid G Suite service.

Let's learn how to do it...

Creating a Gmail Account

The first thing you'll want to do is head to and create a Gmail account. This will be an account just for the purpose of connecting to your Táve account. Make sure to save the login information somewhere safe, and then head to the 'Settings' page and navigate to the Accounts and Import tab. In the 'Check mail from other accounts' section, click 'Add a mail account'.

Adding Your Desired Email Address

Next, we'll add the email address we would like to use. In my case, I'll be using an email address set up with my hosting company, so I'll need some information from them to go forward.

From here, I will need the POP3 mail client settings from the email I'd like to use. In my case, they were on my hosting company's website by just searching for 'pop3'. Then, it's just a matter of matching up the fields.

Follow the instructions through, adding in your name, as well as matching up the fields for the SMTP settings. The "Name" here will be what recipients of your emails see in the From column in their email client.

Final Steps

At this point, you will be prompted to enter a confirmation code that was sent to the email address you connected. Enter that and you'll be all set. Now, within your Táve account just head to Settings › Integrations and log in with your new Gmail account that you've created! That's it! You're done!
