Enabling the BETA

Head to Settings › Early Access Betas in your Táve account and enable the ACH Beta here:

Once you've enabled the Beta, you'll be able to add ACH as an option in your Client Payment Methods settings for either Square or Stripe.

You can add a new Square or Stripe connection (if you don't have one already) or simply edit your existing Square or Stripe connection once enabling the Beta.

Accepting ACH Payment Through Square

NOTE: ACH is only available with Square for US businesses

Once you've connected your Square account, you can enable ACH Payment on the settings page in Táve here:

You're now set up to accept ACH payments from your clients!

With Square you also have the option to disable Credit Cards and only allow your clients to pay by ACH. Credit Card payments will be enabled by default but you can disable that here on the settings page in Táve:

Upon the successful transaction, the payment will be marked as Pending in Táve. A few days after once the payment is fully processed by Square, it will update from Pending to Posted in Táve.

Accepting ACH Payment Through Stripe

Upon connecting your Stripe account, you'll find a button at the bottom that allows you to configure payment methods accepted through this integration:

Within the Payment methods tab in Stripe, you'll see the option for ACH Direct Debit in the Bank debits section here:

As Stripe suggests, Táve uses webhooks to update the status of the payment when it posts so you won't need to do anything else here. When this method is turned on it should show as Active like this:

IMPORTANT: You'll want to ensure that the settlement timing is set to Standard Settlement. If you choose Two-Day Settlement this option has a higher percentage processing fee with no cap. The Standard Settlement option has the lower percentage processing fee capped at $5.

You'll find that option by clicking on the ACH section to open it out and selecting Configure here:

You'll then need to ensure you have Send ACH Direct Debit mandate and microdeposit verification emails enabled in your Stripe Customer Emails editor here:

Upon turning on ACH Direct Debit, when your clients choose your Stripe payment method to pay a Táve invoice, they will now see the option for paying through their bank account.

Your client can search for their bank to quickly connect and make payment from that account via ACH. They will be shown the prompt below before being asked to sign into their bank account using their credentials.

Upon the successful transaction, the payment will be marked as Pending in Táve. A few days after once the payment is fully processed by Stripe, it will update from Pending to Posted in Táve.

Táve Users in Europe

Within the Payment Methods tab in Stripe you'll want to select Bacs Direct Debit in the Bank debits section:

As Stripe suggests, Táve uses webhooks to update the status of the payment when it posts so you won't need to do anything else here. When this method is turned on it should show as Active like this:

You'll then need to ensure you have these emails enabled in your Stripe Customer Emails editor (they should be by default):

Your clients will then see this as an option when they choose your Stripe payment method to pay a Táve invoice:
